Thanksgiving in St. Kitts
Thursday...Thanksgiving at Ross University. The rain has begun...it looks like we are in for quite a storm. I was walking down from the cafeteria, after my morning coffee, and noticed a large storm about a mile out to sea. An ominous sign, as today is the day of judgment. At 1pm we have our 2nd anatomy exam...that on the heals of two other exams this week. The stories from upper classmen describing this event are filled with horror. Hopefully when I walk out of the exam, the parasympathetic fibers of my facial nerve (cranial nerve VII), coursing through the stylomastoid foramen of my skull, will not send any signals to innervate the lacrimal apparatus, housed in the rostrally directed lacrimal bone.

He was known as a gaunt man...
Gaunt...that is the word describing my current body conditioning score. I need to get back to the States for some nice meals. I expect numerous invitations from certain families for breakfast/lunch/dinner when I return for Christmas break. Unitl then, keep me in your premeal prayers...

first week of classes comes to an end
I have finished my first week of classes...3:30pm currently. One week of classes feels like an entire semester of undergraduate work--the descriptive word is volumes. Two more hours of studying and then perhaps some relaxation at the Marriott: http:/marriott.com/property/viewallphotos/skbrb

St. Kitts
Well, I am down here in St. Kitts...now, over one week. Classes begin on Monday. One week of orientation has been a bit long, but the end is in site. The catamaran trip to Nevis was cancelled due to high winds. I hope to get some pictures of the island up soon.

ADK
Adirondack High Peak Region
Greg and I headed into the Adirondack mountains aiming to hike about 8-10 peaks...when it was all said and done with, we did 5. O Well, we had a great time hiking Noonmark, Gravestone Stream, Dial, Nippletop, Colvin, and Blake. We were supposed to meet up with Ethan and some of his friends at Indian Head...Unfortunately, finding someone in the High Peaks proved to be more difficult than anticipated. The first picture is of the summit of Dial, second the summit of Nippletop, third the summit of Colvin (I am pointing to the place we started from), fourth the summit of Blake (not much of a view...one rock in the middle of a dense forest).

phishing II
Okay...we did not return to Cole's Creek. Instead, we put our canoe in at the Madrid Yacht Club. I exclusively used the Holla Popper and landed the two large mouth bass that you see in the photographs. This surface lure proved to be quite affective and quite exciting. In both catches, the bass jumped from the water twice as I fought to reel him into the boat. At the end of the evening, Jon 9, Chris 3, and Greg 1. The bottom shot captures Ethan and I night fishing for Waleye...instead, Ethan landed this ugly Bullhead.

Phishing
Friday evening...Ethan, Greg RN, and I went to Coles Creek to fish for the legendary Northern Pike. The pictures illustrate what we were able to catch...a far cry from the mighty fish we were after. Although a great disappointment, Greg still seems quite thrilled with what he was able to pull into the boat. Our next excursion promises to be much more fruitful, as we have done hours upon hours of research into the secrets of capturing pike, large mouth, walleye, and muskie.

cabin project 1
A series of posts broadcasted to a group of friends that were at the cabin for Liz' s and Christian's going away party. After the tour of new construction, I thought that I would post some before and after photographs of the evolution of the projects. I am still looking for some other photos of the cabin.
