HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELIZABETH

Happy Birthday Liz...
Hopefully Christian has returned from his duties to unveil your gifts - otherwise, just break down the door and have at it. You can blame it on the dogs. Enjoy your early 30s.

Otis and the Couch

Otis contorted himself into an interesting position last night. He was quite tired and was trying to lie on his back, but his efforts were frustrated with the up of the superfluous pillows. We are off to the beach now to play volloyball. This is midsemester break, so I am half way through 4th semester.

Wednesday was Independence day for St. Kitts. I celebrated the holiday with a hike up the volcano with a number of other vet students and Otis. Here, we are at the top with the crater behind us. Otis has been sleeping since he has returned.

still in PR

Jill and I (the only two remaining Ross students not present at school today) continue to study pharmacology at a makeshift table in the airport. Our final is scheduled for Tuesday morning at 8am and we are yet to be scheduled for a flight (the current time is 5:30pm Monday).

These are pictures from the volcano hike. Ethan and I were quite impressed with Mom and Dad as they practically led the hike to the top! They must be really putting those gym memberships to use. Although I am just posting these pictures now, the parents and Ethan have been gone for over a week now. They are back to work and today was my first day of third semester.

more pictures from the vacation

These are some pictures from the catamaran trip to Nevis that we all enjoyed. When we returned to St. Kitts late in the afternoon, we ready ourselves for Ethan's birthday dinner. The crew were great. On the return trip they danced with the girls. Elvis tried with no success to get Mom to dance.

ethan's birthday

Ethan's birthday. We went to a seafood restaurant to celebrate. Mom ordered the lobster...the largest lobster she or any of us had ever seen. It was good, but the absence of the small lobster fork and bib was a constant theme throughout the meal. Earlier in the day, I took the three tourists to the school and showed them around. We are off to the catamaran now...

pictures from the apartment

These are pictures of my apartment and the view of my apartment. In the distance is the Marriott. Other news...Otis broke one of his incisor teeth. He was going for a tennis ball and ran into the wall of the apartment. He seems to doing fine as he did not want to stop playing ball.

Bat Caves and Otis Lounging

On Saturday morning, about a dozen Ross students ventured into the bat caves of St. Kitts. It was a great experience...that is nice to experience something different then textbooks. A couple of pictures show Otis sun bathing on the side of the little hill in my yard. I thought that it was funny that he was out in the heat of the day, although, I do remember him lying out on the blacktop at home in the middle of the summer. Strange.

I took Otis to the top of the mountain where I live this morning...I thought that some of you may enjoy these pictures. If anyone is interested in living or visiting, a couple of these pictures reveal some options.

new years eve

Carina threw a little 70's party to celebrate the new years. Myself, being born in the 70's knew exactly what the appropriate attire should be. Well...soon I am back to St. Kitts. This time with Otis.
